The School of Biomedical Sciences

The role

The appointee will be responsible for teaching human gross anatomy to undergraduate and graduate students at the University of Queensland.  The appointee will be expected to contribute substantially to the national and international research profile of the School, to establish a research laboratory, supervise research students, and obtain external grant funding.  

Appointment may be at either Lecturer or Senior Lecturer level, depending on the expertise and experience of the successful applicant.  Given funding availability, there is the possibility that a second separate position will be offered on a non-continuing contract basis for a suitably qualified applicant.

The person

Applicants must have a PhD or clinically relevant qualification. The successful appointee will have demonstrated a high level of knowledge as well as strong experience in lecturing and or demonstrating in Human Gross Anatomy and/or Clinical Anatomy, and strong research and publication track record in a related field within the School.

Remuneration

This is a full-time continuing appointment at Academic Level B or C, depending on qualifications and experience.

The remuneration package for a Lecturer (Academic Level B) will be in the range $79,861.17 - $94,834.88 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $93,437.56 - $110,956.81 p.a.).

The remuneration package for a Senior Lecturer (Academic Level C) will be in the range $97,829.59 - $112,803.29 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $114,460.69 - $131,979.85 p.a.).
