Lecturer/Senior Lecturer & Research Fellow/Senior Research Fellow in Life Course and Longitudinal Social ResearchSchool of Social Science / Institute for Social Science Research (ISSR)The School of Social Science conducts research and offers courses in sociology, criminology, anthropology, and archaeology. It has around 30 academic staff and 80 postgraduate research students. The ISSR has over 100 staff and is a national leader in advanced interdisciplinary problem oriented social science research and evidence based policy research. The RoleWe are seeking a Lecturer/Research Fellow (Academic Level B) and a Senior Lecturer/Senior Research Fellow (Academic Level C) to undertake research in life course and longitudinal studies within the social sciences, and to contribute to teaching in quantitative methods or substantive areas. The PersonThe successful candidates will hold a PhD in the area of sociology, criminology or applied social statistics and will have skills and experience in advanced quantitative and longitudinal data analysis methods for large and complex surveys and substantive interests related to life course research. They will also have experience in teaching and evidence of publications. RemunerationThese are full-time, fixed-term, 3 year appointments commencing in 2012 - one at Academic Level B ($76,789 to $91,187 per annum) and one at Academic Level C ($94,066 to $108,464 per annum), plus 17% superannuation.
